The most expensive part of running a compost plant is not electricity or spares — it is people carrying material. Every time compost is shovelled from a bed into a barrow, wheeled to the machine and lifted again, you pay for labour and lose product to spillage. A reverse screw conveyor is the piece that removes one of those manual steps entirely, and it is why the Maharaja-2 and Samrat 60 can run as near-complete systems rather than standalone screens.

What a reverse screw conveyor does

When a screen separates fine compost from oversize, something has to happen to the oversize — the lumps, the not-yet-broken clods, the coarse fraction. On a plain screen a worker rakes it off and carries it back. A reverse screw conveyor instead carries that oversize back toward the grinder or the bed automatically, using an enclosed auger that handles moist, heavy material without spilling it. The tailings re-enter the cycle instead of piling up beside the machine.

The complete in–screen–out system
