Buyers rarely ask for a mesh size. They ask for a grade — fine, uniform, no lumps — and mesh opening is how you deliver it. Choosing the opening is therefore a sales decision as much as a technical one.

5 mm: the general-purpose grade

3 mm: the premium grade
